Reformation International
Theological Seminary

Reformation International Theological Seminary (RITS)  began in 1996 originating its own courses through the collaborative effort of a good number of qualified professors.  It centers its program on training men for Gospel ministry through the 100 credit Master of Divinity degree program.  Other shorter master degree programs are also offered, as well as a full-orbed doctoral program (see catalog for further details).

RITS is very competitive in price and thoroughly Reformed in content with the aim of producing solid Christian thinkers and ministers.   We have aimed at keeping our costs as low as reasonably possible by keeping our overhead low, and aiming primarily at ministry instead of money.  We believe you will be able to tell the difference both in cost and quality.

Seminary Student/Church Partnership Program with RITS:

If you are a man interested in pursuing pastoral ministry, or if you know someone who is, we want to help. Read on to learn about our program, and click here to apply now.

Reformation International Theological Seminary (RITS) gives students the unique opportunity to learn from their own pastor while in seminary, working from home and their home church. This enables the pastor and elders who have seen a man’s gifts and possible calling to the ministry to guide and nurture that calling, while RITS assists with the training necessary for pastoral ministry, doing so affordably and without any debt.

  • We are offering a special tuition discount to any student financially supported by his local church for our M.Div. program.
  • We will reduce tuition $10 per credit for every man who is enrolled into our M.Div. program and is supported financially by their local church for the purpose of preparing men for the work of ministry
  • To receive this discount applications should include a note from the church (pastor) that they will be sharing in tuition cost.
  • Students should complete a minimum of 18 credits per calendar year to maintain the discounted price.

Our M.Div. program is thorough in requiring 110 credits (thus students receive a $1,110 discount on their total M.Div. tuition), with lectures from well-respected pastors and professors, and meets the Orthodox Presbyterian Church (OPC) requirements for men preparing for ministry. Assignments are given for lectures and reading, and feedback is given through grading. The assignments also serve as study guides for all quizzes and exams, providing a streamlined system of study.

Graduates from our seminary program have used their degree to pastor in various Presbyterian and Reformed denominations, and have spoken highly of their RITS studies. Here is what two of our graduates have said below, the first is from Pastor Mike Chapa:

I give my highest recommendation for the M.Div. program at Reformation International Theological Seminary!  I began seminary at another distance-learning school but found the pedagogical model of RITS to be superior.  The academic rigor, testing, interaction, and feedback allowed me to learn like in a “normal” classroom.  I have several other brick-and-mortar degrees and did not feel slighted in the least to do this by correspondence.  In fact, because I was transitioning to ministry later in life while working two jobs to provide for my family, the RITS program perfectly allowed me to work at my own pace.  I heard about their program from a minister friend and it turned out another minister in my own Presbytery had graduated through RITS.  Theirs is a thoroughly conservative and Reformed curriculum that is not compromised with progressive ideas of the day.  It took me six years to finish the M.Div. as a part-time student, and I was thoroughly prepared for my ordination exams and have served as an OPC teaching elder/pastor now for four years.
